Analysis Of The Whole Process Of Down-the-hole Drilling Rig Installation

As an efficient drilling equipment in the fields of mining, construction, etc., the correct installation of down-the-hole drilling rigs directly affects the performance of the equipment and the safety of operation. This article will introduce the installation steps of down-the-hole drilling rigs in detail to help users quickly master key operations.

Step 1: Site preparation
Before installation, it is necessary to ensure that the working area is flat and solid, and the bearing capacity of the foundation meets the equipment requirements. If working in an open-air environment, it is necessary to clean up debris and check the ground slope to avoid water accumulation affecting stability. The foundation size should be slightly larger than the rig base to reserve adjustment space.

Step 2: Foundation fixation
Place the rig base in the predetermined position and use a level to adjust the level. The error must be controlled within ±2mm. Then fix the base with anchor bolts. When tightening, the operation must be symmetrical to avoid deformation caused by uneven force. If the foundation is soft, concrete reinforcement must be poured and dried for 24 hours before subsequent installation.

Step 3: Assembly of the host and drill rod
After the base is fixed, hoist the host and ensure that the bolts connecting to the base are firm. The drill rod installation needs to be aligned with the spindle center to avoid wear caused by eccentricity. Grease should be applied to the connection, and the seal ring status should be checked regularly to prevent dust from entering the hydraulic system.

Step 4: Hydraulic and air supply system debugging
When connecting the hydraulic pipeline, check the oil port number to avoid reverse connection. Check the oil level in the tank before starting, and run it without load for 5-10 minutes to observe whether there is leakage or abnormal sound. The pneumatic system needs to ensure that the air pipe is tightly connected and adjust the pressure to the specified range of the equipment (usually 0.5-0.7MPa).

Step 5: Safety inspection
After completing the installation, it is necessary to fully check the tightening status of each component, including bolts, protective covers and emergency brakes. During the trial run, it should be operated by professionals to confirm the drilling accuracy and equipment stability.

Standard installation of down-the-hole drilling rigs is the basis for efficient operation. Users need to strictly follow the steps and refer to the equipment manual to complete detailed debugging to extend the life of the equipment and ensure construction safety.
